January 11th 2008 - It's a shame that over a year since launch PS3 owners are still waiting to be rewarded for their escapades on the console. While we're still not really sure on how Sony are planning their achievements system, aside from the trophy room in home, PSN boss Eric Lempel has dropped a hint at what Sony has in Store, and promises that they'll take the idea beyond one screen:
Lampel said; "I know that an achievement system is very important to our consumers. With Home, and in addition to Home, we have some very exciting programs planned to recognize our consumers gaming skills and loyalty in new ways that go well beyond a single score."
In addition to Home? Sounds good to me, albeit it doesn't give us much idea of what to expect. Here's hoping that we see some of these additions sooner then later, as well, it's already had a year to install them. Hopefully Sony will reveal their plans soon, and when they do we'll bring the news to you. Until then, may the speculation commence.

This is the first and cardinal rule of combat...
Suppress all human emotion and compassion...
Kill whoever stands in thy way, even if that be Lord God, or Buddha himself...
This truth lies at the heart of the art of combat. Once it is mastered... Thou shall fear no one... Though the devil himself may bar thy way...
